I was bored and rereading and found more pictures of the GC removing their contacts to show off their crosses. It's really interesting to me that Spitfire feels no need at all to get contacts while he's in Aather. I'm thinking he'll probably get a pair to go with him when he good ends, but while he's in Aather, there's no big worries about it. No big deals were made about them when he first realized they were different back in the beginning. They were "interesting" and "unique" I believe, but no indication that there was anything really unusual or wrong about that or that he shouldn't have them to be "normal".
